It provides a daily shloka (verse), allows you to explore random shlokas, save favorites, and browse past verses via an archive. The platform is free, mobile-friendly, and designed to make the Gita's wisdom accessible to all.

How do I start using Gita Drishti?

Simply visit Gita Drishti in your browser. No account or sign-up is required. You can immediately view the Verse of the Day, explore random shlokas, save favorites, or browse the archive.

Do I need to create an account to use Gita Drishti?

No, Gita Drishti does not require accounts. All features, including saving favorites, are managed on your device using localStorage, so you can start using the app right away.

Is Gita Drishti free to use?

Yes, Gita Drishti is completely free. We may display minimal ads (currently placeholders) to support the platform, but there are no charges for any features.

How It Works

What is the Verse of the Day?

Each day, Gita Drishti displays a selected shloka from the Bhagavad Gita, complete with the Sanskrit text, transliteration, and explanations in Hindi and English. This feature helps you start your day with spiritual inspiration.

How does the Random Shloka feature work?

Click the "Next Shloka" button on the homepage to fetch a random verse from our database of 700+ shlokas. It's a great way to discover new insights from the Gita whenever you want.

How do I save my favorite shlokas?

On any shloka card, click the heart icon to save the verse to your Favorites. These are stored in your browser's localStorage and can be accessed anytime via the Favorites page (/favorites).

How does the Archive feature work?

Navigate to the Archive page (/archive) to access a calendar interface. Select any past date to view the shloka assigned to that day. This is perfect for revisiting previous verses or catching up on missed days.

What languages are the shlokas available in?

Each shloka includes the original Sanskrit text, a transliteration for pronunciation, and explanations in both Hindi and English to cater to a diverse audience.

Is there an audio feature for listening to shlokas?

Text-to-speech (TTS) functionality is planned but not yet available. The feature is being developed using Google AI and will allow you to listen to shlokas in Sanskrit, Hindi, and English. Stay tuned for updates!

Can I track my reading progress and analytics?

Analytics and progress tracking features are coming soon! You'll be able to track your reading streaks, set goals, earn achievements, and monitor your spiritual growth journey. The feature is currently in development.

Account & Access

Do I need an account to save favorites?

No, Favorites are saved directly on your device using localStorage. No account or login is required, but this means your favorites are tied to the specific browser and device you're using.

What happens to my favorites if I switch devices or clear my browser data?

Favorites are stored in your browser's localStorage, so they will not transfer to a new device or browser. If you clear your browser data, your saved favorites will be deleted. We recommend backing up any important shlokas manually (e.g., by noting them down).

Can I access Gita Drishti on multiple devices?

Yes, you can access Gita Drishti on any device with a web browser (phone, tablet, or computer). The platform is mobile-friendly and responsive. However, favorites saved on one device won't sync to others since they're stored locally.

Pricing & Billing

Is there a cost to use Gita Drishti?

Gita Drishti is free forever. There are no subscription fees, premium plans, or hidden costs. The platform is supported by minimal ad placeholders, which may be replaced with real ads in the future.

Why do I see ad placeholders?

Ad placeholders (e.g., AdBanner displayed after every three favorites) are part of the platform to keep it free. These are currently placeholders and may be replaced with actual ads in the future to support ongoing development.

Technical Issues

Why is the text-to-speech feature not working?

The text-to-speech feature is still in development and not yet active, though buttons for it may appear in the interface (currently disabled). We're working on integrating it with Google AI, and it will be available in a future update.

What should I do if the app is slow or doesn't load?

Ensure you have a stable internet connection, as shlokas are fetched from our server. Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. If issues persist, contact us through our Contact Us page with details about your device and browser.
